The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF), in partnership with Scènes Australes, invites aspiring female event production managers from Africa and the Indian Ocean region to apply for the 2024 Gender@Work programe. This initiative offers training in music business management and event production, featuring online and offline courses led by industry experts from Africa, the Indian Ocean, and Europe. The programe includes two modules: Music Business (online in October 2024), focusing on the music industry’s key components, and Event Production (in Kigali, Rwanda, from 10-16 November 2024), covering festival planning, stage management, live sound engineering, and lighting design. Additional benefits include mentoring, networking, and potential internships. Applications are open until 15 August 2024, with specific eligibility criteria and requirements detailed on the application form. Participants will receive accommodation, meals, transport, flights, visa costs, a modest allowance, and a certificate upon completion.
