Empowering Future Global Leaders: Insights from Manchester

Yasmeen Fahim, Orient Productions Executive Manager, recently participated in the “Future Global Leaders” program in Manchester, a British Council initiative connecting 14 international producers.

Through conversations with Factory International’s team and a tour of their new venue, Yasmeen gained valuable insights into their work. Additionally, she networked with artists in Factory International’s programs, visited artist-led organizations in Manchester and Salford, and met with Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 team.

Yasmeen expresses her thanks to the British Council and Factory International teams for putting together an excellent program, and creating a truly memorable experience.


Empowering Art for Social Change: Insights from the Civil Society Networking Forum

Yasmeen also participated as a panelist in the “Arts for Development” session during the “Civil Society Networking Forum.” The event took place over two days, on May 19th and 20th, in Cairo. Yasmeen shared insights alongside Mohamed Raafat El-seht from Kawkab Elrasameen and Mohamed Abdel Khaleq. Amany Bassily from Kawkab Elrasameen moderated the discussion.

The forum was organized within the framework of the “Equal Opportunities and Social Development” (EOSD) project. This initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

During her panel, Yasmeen highlighted Orient Productions’ pivotal role in advancing the arts sector. Her insights shed light on how Orient Productions aims to develop the performing arts sector, by providing services that fill gaps in the sector’s ecosystem.
